You can make a trip to the Rio City Zoo, there are over 2000 species lives in the zoo. If you are scared of birds like Macaws, Toucans and Parrots you shouldn’t visit here, because these birds are flying in freely around you.

1. Ipanema and Copacabana Beaches
There are songs about these beaches. Ipenama and Copacabana are the largest beaches in Rio. Ipenama has many restaurants and night life, but Copacabana has more things to do during the day. It is nice to walk on the mosaic side walk. And if you like to play beach volley this would be your favorite place.
2. Christ The Redeemer
The statue of the Christ The Redeemer sits at the top of the Cor Covado mountain and can be seen from any point in Rio. A cable car took me throught the Tijuca Forest. As the train climbed through the forest we got panoramic view of Rio de Janerio. Standing in front of the station was so exciting.
3. The Botanical Gardens
One of the biggest tropical botanic garden of the world. It was founded in 1808. The garden has a collection of more than 7,000 species of tropical plants. There are royal palms that measure about 30 metres high. There are guided tours in gardens and they are all free.
4. Rio City Zoo

5. Maracana Stadium
If you are a big fan of the football it's the largest stadium in the world. Maracana stadium was opened in 1950 to host the FIFA World Cup. Maracana have a capacity of almost 200,000 peoples! Including legendary Pelé and great footballers had played here.
6. Paqueta Island
This small island is a nice place to escape from the city center. It only takes one hour by ferry. It is the most relaxed place on Rio. Riding bicycle by the coast is very popular.
7. Parque Lage (Park Lage)
You have to go to Parque Lage for a coffee, lunch or brunch the food is delicious. You are also close to botanic garden which is amazing too. Ask for a cal banana it’s a juice that has all the vitamins and also you need to try Feijoada or Pao de Queijo as a meal.
